OpenWorkspace® is a window management system that enables users to configure, save, and load arrangements of the native desktop as ‘workspaces’—complete with certain windows and tabs laid out to best suit some routine task, workflow, topic, or web experience at the desktop.
Centering the desktop experience on workspaces keeps the desktop tidy while alleviating the need to scan for tabs or search for files as part of continuously switching between individual windows and tabs—a process that can consume as much as 1/3 of the modern workday, according to popular research.
In addition to arranging the desktop on-demand, OpenWorkspace® expands the age-old desktop metaphor (GUI) by incorporating a second, contextual region—enabling a new, but familiar focal/contextual computing experience and equipping everyday users for the next 10 years at the desktop.
